Due to the current pandemic, schools have been closed for 6th and 7th graders in Mumbai India. I am requesting you to be part of the change and help this cause. We understand how difficult it is to manage the health of a whole school, let alone a state, but this is important for the education of the students of Maharashtra so they can have the education they deserve. 

The children are the future. If we don’t try to make the circumstances for children better, we wont have much hope for the future. Our education is deeply affected by online learning and ALL the children are having trouble coping up. 

If the schools will open for 6th and 7th graders soon, the students will be able to communicate with their friends and classmates physically and enjoy many childhood experiences they are missing.

I myself am a 6th grader attending ONLINE school in Maharashtra. I would like better opportunities for myself and my peers. I miss connecting with them, enjoying a group task or something as simple as having lunch in our school cafeteria. 

This also affects children's social development. Mr Mirul Bhavsar has rightly stated… “They are being caged in controlled environment for almost 20 months now. If they can accompany their parents to malls, movie theater, restaurants and have normal life, why not to go and attend school with friends?” 

It is even hard to work as internet connection is not always stable. This causes many students to miss a whole class of learning which takes a lot of time to catch up. Even being absent for one day is difficult as you have to coordinate with many peers and teachers to find out what you had missed. 

Many of you might be concerned of the safety of the students. I assure you that all of my peers and classmates are willing to follow all necessary precautions so that we can be safer in school.
