After a long pandemic pause, some businesses were finally contemplating a restart but unfortunately this past month, thousands of businesses were forced to close their doors again in the fight against COVID-19 in Mumbai. In a matter of days it became difficult for business owners to pay their employees and the chain from employees not able to pay rent/mortgages, care for children, maintain utilities for households and provide adequate food with reduced or zero income goes on.

Mumbai has been a hub for Huge businesses and professionals to Independent and local ones. The sectors affected are Hotels, Textile, Electronics, Supply chain, Banquets, Retail and small shopkeepers, Jewellers, independent practitioners and professionals like CA, Lawyers, Training and development, Management consultant, We sure there are some that we have missed!

Now the virus is subsiding, Mumbaikars can begin assembling an approach to life and business. We appeal to the CM of Maharashtra, Governor of the state, and BMC to lift the lockdown and let the businesses resume with the Covid precaution norms to be followed.

These are the people, the backbone of Mumbai. This is not about you and me, this is about us, The Mumbaikars. We urge you to sign this petition and be a part of the movement to resume life in Mumbai.
