2017: to create facts, and save the WabOS!

Hi out there! :) With the best wishes for the new year to you all, we share this short update regarding the petition you signed. - If you didn't, then now is the best time to do it! ;) As promised, we handed over the first bunch of signatures collected till that date on December 20th, 2016. Counting manual signatures as well, in total there were more than 7,700! As you can see in the photo, we had packed them into a small trailer and gave all this little gift to Osnabrück's burgomaster, Wolfgang Griesert, as the main representative of the municipality. Even though some journalists joined that small celebration, unfortunately, there hasn't been any press report about it. But instead, our topic got mentioned on the title page of the local newspaper's review of the year on December 31st, 2016. We'd like to encourage you to continue sharing our petition, since, so far, there hasn't been an explicit political decision. Although by now all parties of the municipal council have agreed on their sympathies for us and our project, the building plans, that are still open to public inspection and involvement until February 3rd of this year, do not yet assure our right to stay there where we've been for 19 years, neither that our site may maintain its size and dimensions, and even less that the surrounding areas will not be destroyed. So, please keep helping us gathering public attention and support! Having a whole lot of meetings and discussions ahead of us in this first period of the new year, we are quite thankful for every aid. Let us know if you have some person or group at hand that would sign an open letter to support us, and write to us if you have questions or suggestions. Take care and rock this year for you!
