Our Demand

 

We, the teacher aspirants and concerned citizens of Odisha, respectfully urge the Government of Odisha and the concerned education and recruitment authorities to publish the pending teacher recruitment notification and establish a transparent annual teacher recruitment calendar.

 

Teacher aspirants across Odisha have invested years in their education and preparation, but uncertainty regarding recruitment notifications and timelines has made it extremely difficult to plan their careers and examinations.

 

We are not asking for appointment without a fair selection process.

 

We are asking for something much more basic:

 

A fair, transparent and predictable opportunity to compete.

 

Our Three Key Demands

 

1. Release the Teacher Recruitment Notification

 

Publish the recruitment notification for eligible vacant/sanctioned teacher posts at the earliest, following all applicable rules and procedures.

 

2. Publish the Current Vacancy Position

 

Make the sanctioned and vacant teacher-post data publicly available, preferably department-wise, cadre-wise and district-wise, so that aspirants and citizens can understand the actual recruitment requirement.

 

3. Establish an Annual Teacher Recruitment Calendar

 

Publish a predictable yearly recruitment calendar indicating the expected timeline for teacher recruitment advertisements, examinations and subsequent stages.

 

A regular recruitment calendar would help aspirants plan their preparation while also helping the education system address teacher vacancies in a timely manner.

 

Why This Matters

 

Teacher recruitment is not only an employment issue.

 

It is directly connected with the quality and continuity of school education.

 

When sanctioned teaching posts remain vacant and recruitment timelines remain uncertain, aspiring teachers are left in prolonged uncertainty, while schools may continue to face staffing requirements.

 

Odisha's young people deserve transparency, predictability and timely information about public recruitment opportunities.

 

We therefore request the Government and concerned authorities to provide a clear and publicly communicated timeline for the next teacher recruitment process.
