It has recently been announced that the 40 year old Flea Market in Lakewood was being pushed off their land and being forced to close. They have put out a call to all communities to consider allowing them to take up operations in another location. 

The Fairgrounds at Miller Airpark would be a great location for this community business to relocate to. The grounds are already cleared and maintained. Parking is already set. There would not have to be any trees removed in order for them to operate. It goes back to their original vision of a place to bring your family for the day to shop and interact with others in the community in a nice quiet wooded environment. 

The Fairgrounds are a county park and would need approval from the Ocean County Freeholders. We hope that they will see the value that this market has brought to the county over their 40 years in this community. 

With enough signatures, we can show them that the people of this county do not want to loose this 40 year old landmark.
