The Council recently extended the formal consultation for the East Jesmond Low Traffic Neighbourhood until Sunday 15th October.
Now the schools and students are back it is becoming clear how much disruption the road closures are causing to people’s lives, livelihoods and businesses - With Jesmond Road gridlocked on a daily basis and tailbacks all over the area as people divert onto other roads to try and avoid the jams.
If you haven’t done so yet, please email your objection to the East Jesmond LTN to the Council:
Take 5 minutes to scan this QR code to complete and email your objection. Tell the Council how the road closures are affecting you and why you object to the chaos being made permanent.
It will be 5 minutes well spent. It’s got to be better than spending an extra half an hour in your car every day from now on.
The Council will make this gridlock permanent unless people like you object to the East Jesmond LTN.
Remember, your email must state the grounds of your objection to the East Jesmond LTN being made permanent.
You will make a difference by sending a formal complaint - the Council are legally obliged to consider it.
If you cannot scan the QR code above then email your complaint to traffic.notices@newcastle.gov.uk - You must quote reference GH/ P44/1317
