In March 2022 this was quoted in a news article. The article has now been removed after we challenged the editor. 

The Developer said: “The legislation is actually in danger of facilitating what I would call planning aparteid. In other words, [residents say] ‘we don’t want these people moving in, let’s put up a petition, if it has got more than five names it has to go to the planning committee, our vociferous ward councillor will turn up and see the application off.’

Well our petition now has 363 names 

we want to protect the oak tree, protect the hazel trees, the wildlife, the green space , the safety of the children using the playpark and the privacy of our neighbours
