Object to Muslim Burial Site for 9000 in Small Cornish Hamlet

The Issue

Maders, one of the smallest hamlets in Cornwall on the outskirts of Callington, has been targeted to turn agricultural land into the largest
burial site in the UK for people of the Muslim faith.

1.     Environmental Impact.  The land contains boreholes and wells and our local houses and farms rely on these water sources which could be contaminated by such a large burial site.

2.     Proximity to Mining Works.  Adjacent to dormant mining works, and the potential risks associated with past mining operations when disturbed.

3.     Accessibility Issues. No train station and infrequent bus service creating more traffic leading to increased congestion and safety hazards on our narrow Cornish roads

4.     Community Impact. The introduction of such a large number of burial plots in this small community could fundamentally alter the character of our hamlet and affect the quality of life for current residents.

Consider the long-term implications and PLEASE sign this petition. Also voice your objections to Cornwall Council Planning. This needs to be done IMMEDIATELY.  Planning Application number PA24/06942.
