Toronto District School Board staff have recommended that Vaughan Road Academy (VRA) close. The decision will be made Dec. 7.  If it closes, staff will recommend in the spring whether to keep the site in the Board or sell it.  Please sign this petition to keep the site as a core holding.  Oakwood Vaughan is an under-served community.  The school houses a child care centre, a pool used by the community, a large gymnasium, auditorium and extensive green space. OV NAP has been meeting with school officials, city councillors, health care representatives, officials at the province and community agencies with a view to re-purposing the site as a community hub.  Help us keep the site public and in community hands.
