Why New York State?

New York has been the nation's role model in terms of our response to the pandemic. Other states followed our lead when it was time to shelter in place, close schools and businesses, and for wearing masks in public to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Legislation is likely to be dismissed in other parts of the country where states have prematurely reopened. New Yorkers know that reckless policies put everyone, especially our children, at risk of becoming infected. With the national death toll over 150,000 we need to take every precaution we can.

Once New York adopts this legislation, other states will want to follow our success once again. Help make this become a reality and continue to share this petition at least ten times per day.
