Don't Let Him Get Released
The Issue
Hello All,
My Name Is Paula Billups Almost twenty years ago on Sept. 27th, 2001. My mother Paula Jenkins who was just 36 years old,was murdered in our home in Brooklyn, NY by her then boyfriend Kenneth Peterson. Kenneth decided to murdered my mother two days after her first grandson's birthday (which is my son). While Myself, My one-year old son, Sister, and my younger brother slept. I woke up to my younger brother entering my room saying Mommy's dead. Myself and my young sister got up and enter my mother's bedroom. Sure enough he killed her and left his weapon of choice just above her head. After her funeral I decided that I wasn't going to let my sibling go into the foster care system and decided that we would all stay together. As we have been there before and I would never want to endure the foster care system again. I made this decision to take on four children at the young age of 18.Kenneth is now up for parole in May 21'. What's worse is he could be released on my son's 21st birthday. Knowing of this released date has taken me back twenty years mentally. Please sign this petition and ask the NYS parole board not to release this man who hurt my mother almost twenty years ago. SB: please only donate between 3-6 dollars to this campaign. The money isn’t going to me or my siblings... the money is just to keep the petition going...
Thanks,
Paula
