Vulnerable households need a remote learning option.  Not everyone feels it’s safe to send their kids off to school with 3’ of distance, and in some instances the 3’ minimum distance requirement isn’t even happening because of overcrowding meanwhile board member meetings have mandatory 6’ distancing.  

It doesn’t make sense that regardless of vaccination status that children are that close together because there are also “breakthrough” infections happening everywhere.  

Families are fighting cancer, autoimmune diseases, anxiety etc and some did everything they thought was right to protect their families for 18 months!  Now we have no choice.  We followed all the rules to protect ourselves.  Now we need people to help maintain that protection.

We need accommodations for access to a safe education!  No one should have to choose between health and education!  

Please sign this petition if you feel at the very least vulnerable households deserve a remote learning option. Also, when students have to quarantine, there will be no way for them to access instruction even if they are well enough to attend school but are forced into quarantine.  

By allowing a remote option, all students will have access to an education under any circumstance.
