Stop Spraying Cancerous Roundup Weedkiller in NYC Parks

The Issue

NYC parks are visited by millions of residents and tourists each year. These parks serve as a place for us to relax, connect, and recharge as a community with our family, friends, and pets. Despite this, the NYC Parks Department has made the conscious decision to spray Roundup Weedkiller in our parks, which contains glyphosate, a probable human carcinogen. As a city that prides itself on promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, we demand that the NYC Parks Department and other executive authorities remain consistent in their care for its city's residents and visitors and replace Roundup with a safe and non-toxic alternative. It is unacceptable and hypocritical to knowingly spray a potentially cancerous substance in thousands of parks throughout our city.
