We have recently received news of the Mayor and DFTA’s (NYC’s Department for the Aging) plan to SHUT DOWN the King Towers Senior Center located at 50 Lenox Avenue in Harlem, NY.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to STOP the closing of King Towers Senior Center. The center is vital to the health and livelihood of the elders of our community. Senior Centers play a major role in avoiding isolation among older adults. They provide a safe and comfortable space for socialization, as well as education & recreation. 

We CANNOT and WILL NOT lay down and be quiet and let this happen!!
