Speaking on behalf of many of your (Nvidia and AMD) customers, 

Multi GPU setups offer your customers more ways of customizing their systems. You have customers who enjoy their multi GPU builds from a visual perspective. You have customers who are on a budget and would want to add the second card at a later stage. 

Personally I have purchased 2x 2080's, prior to this 2x 780's. It is sad to see the support going down. Please listen more to your customer base.
