How many nurses are on the NMC register?

"The number of nurses and midwives registered in the UK with the Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC decreased by 1,783 between March 2016 and March 2017, according to the NMC's own figures. This was a change from 692,556 registered nurses and midwives to 690,773 over that time.3 Jul 2017"

So 690,773 x £120 = £82,892,760.

They've lost 1,783 nurse which is £213,960.

So, nearly £83m isn't enough to run our regulatory body - the NMC are “investigating” a fee increase!
