Exceptional arrangements needed for overseas nurses working as HCAs in UK to become nurses

Over the years many overseas qualified nurses have been employed in the UK private healthcare sector & NHS as HCA’s at band 2, 3 and 4. Each of these HCA, in addition to their overseas nursing qualification, which was taught and examined in English, have been practising in a totally English environment. They have proficiency in the English language as their daily work encompasses reading, writing, speaking and listening to the English language while engaged in a healthcare setup.
While UK faces a severe shortage of nurses, we call upon NMC to incorporate exceptional arrangements, outside current NMC rules to facilitate their registration by verifying evidence of
1.) their overseas pre-registration nursing qualification being taught and examined in English,
2.) UK employer reference to confirm language proficiency
