NYSNA's ugly head of retaliation rears again.  Is this what is in NYSNA's DNA?  Who made the decision to remove Jalisa Saud from her Release Time Representative assignment?  Following a dispute with a NYSNA staffer, Jalisa voiced her opinion, her comments were removed from NYSNA social media site and then she was abruptly terminated in retaliation as a Release Time Representative.  Release Time Representative are an important part of our union rights under the NYC contract that helps nurses protect their patients, enforce our contract and rights.  Why was another woman of color removed or demoted from an influential NYSNA assignment? The goal of NYSNA senior leadership is not to strengthen the voices of it's members but rather weaken and deter other members from verbalizing their views, opinions and playing an active role in a democratic member driven organization. Do not let NYSNA Senior Leadership censor our voices.  We must agree to disagree without retaliation.  We need a full explanation and disclosure on what was done to Jalisa Saud.  We the undersigned members are outraged and demand an meeting.
