After COVID-19, The NSW Government has created vouchers for the kids to promote extra activities which helps children to develop their creative and improve their health. Also helping families to save around $900 x kid. Vouchers not only can make a big different in a familiar economy, but also are helping to activate the economy of many businesses affected by the lockdown.

But just children with medicare card can apply to this enormous advantage.

Most of the temporary resident children are not eligible for these vouchers, even when they were struggling in the same situation as the rest of the residents during the restrictions. Their families pay taxes and pay tuition fees for the public school ($5,600 - $6,400). These vouchers can make a big difference for these kids to access to any extra activity and mark a big difference in their development.

Parents who are temporary residents in Australia or any who believe in equality of opportunities for the children. Also for providers, who are half part benefit for the vouchers: business owners, suppliers and interested parties who want to invite any children to practice sports, arts or other experiences that can spark their creativity or improve their health... in NSW, Australia.

When COVID-19 hit, several hard rules were imposed on all of us to keep us safe. These restrictions have had an important impact on children's character and life, who for so long had stopped to learn and discover the world, because they were not allowed to play and socialize with others.

This last year, the NSW government, has provided vouchers to help families and businesses to encourage kids creativity and health. But not for all the children, only those holding a medicare number could apply.

That means, the children who are temporary residents, even when they have been struggling for the same experiences and following the same rules during these years, they are not allowed to apply for these vouchers.  

These vouchers mean a lot for the families, thanks to them, they can purchase materials or activities that their kids can enjoy. In fact, it means much more for the children who, thanks to these experiences, can encourage many important skills for their future. 

These opportunities should be the same for any children resident in NSW, because we were all together, respecting and supporting each other during the restrictions. Governments should be a mirror of the society that we want for the future, instead of discriminating and creating a tangible lack of equality between children.
