Problem
Many drivers on NSW roads have great difficulty approaching intersections on a "stale green light", causing anxiousness and a decreased reaction stopping time.

Solution
The installation of countdown timers on intersection traffic lights, which will countdown the time in seconds until the light will change.

Personal story
I have Autism & OCD and have great difficulty with lights changing suddenly , particularly at large intersections with red light cameras. This has caused me stress and anxiety on many occasions and I feel that implementing countdown timers on intersection traffic lights will not only help me
feel less panicked when driving but help other drivers who may also panic when approaching a "stale green traffic light".
I believe that this will also help with traffic flow problems and decrease the likelihood of accidents.
