Increased Police numbers for the Tweed/Byron Community
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
The Tweed/Byron branch of the Police Association of NSW wants the Tweed/Byron area to have the resources required to police our unique community. Our members are your local Police who live and work in your community. Your community needs additional resources urgently; our members believe the staffing levels at the Tweed/Byron Local Area Command have reached crisis levels.
To ensure Police officers and the community are protected we are calling on the NSW Police Commissioner to staff Tweed/Byron Local Area Command with: 25 additional uniformed police, 5 additional detectives, and a designated unit designed to proactively target mid-level crime.
Additional Police officers are needed to ensure:
1. The community has greater access to their Police and are provided with a greater level of service
2. Police officers are provided with backup and support for increasing workloads
3. Mid-level organised crime is targeted
