The Port Stephens-Great Lakes Marine Park was established in December 2005 and managed from 2007. Since 2007 a review of the Marine Park has not been completed. It was first indicated that a review would take place every five years with all stakeholders. A review of the Marine Park is grossly overdue. We call on the NSW Liberal Government and Labor Opposition to commit to an urgent review with all interested parties having representatives and input into the review. We call upon both parties to commit to the review prior to the next NSW State election.
