As part of a package of laws reviewing cyclists use of public roads, the NSW Government has introduced a mandatory requirement for bicycle riders to carry ID.

This is an infringement on our liberty in NSW. Currently NSW State citizens can walk and cycle freely without carrying ID.

This significantly changes our current liberty and freedom.

This restriction on citizens freedom has been masked under a larger set of changes.

It has been introduced a few days before the Christmas and summer holidays and announced at the same time as fare changes for commuters.

We must STOP this restriction on our liberty as free citizens who are used to going about our lives without State interference.

It is a dangerous precedent and must be STOPPED

INSIST that NSW citizens can continue to go about their lives without carrying ID when walking or cycling.
