Dear Ministers - Aboriginal women's business still matters in 2018.

The Awabakal women's Butterfly Cave is a sacred site at risk from a Roche Group housing development.

Our petition to Save the Butterfly Cave has been signed by over 102,000 people.  Each day, more people are made aware of the failure of the NSW Government and Lake Macquarie City Council's planning staff to protect this spiritual site.

The fate of the Awabakal women's Butterfly Cave hangs in the balance.  The decision to protect the site from McMansions will be made by a handful of non-Indigenous men in positions of power.

This is not - and never has been - an equal battle.

We ask that the NSW Government takes a philosophical, ethical and moral stand to protect this site.  We ask that the Ministers responsible act in the best interests of Aboriginal women, and reject the desecration of Awabakal land by Roche Group.

Put culture before profit.  Recognise the rights of Aboriginal women to identify and protect sites of significance.
