In June 2015, a change.org petition protesting the treatment of dolphins in Bali - who are kept in small, chlorinated pools for tourists to ride and kiss - went viral.

But the same practice is happening in Australia, at Coffs Harbour's Dolphin Marine Magic tourist park. Due to pressure from Australia for Dolphins this marine park has been under investigation for alleged breaches of animal welfare law."

The UK, Switzerland and India have all phased out dolphin captivity. A growing number of countries have made this move, recogising the inherent cruelty in keeping migratory, social and intelligent animals in tiny chlorinated pools.

Australia is one of the most vocal nations when it comes to whale and dolphin protection. We should practice what we preach and phase out the use of dolphins for entertainment.

The NSW Minister for Primary Industries, Niall Blair has the power to stop it in NSW. Send him a clear message today that using marine animals for entertainment is no longer acceptable.
