May 24, 2018 — UPDATE: #RampMyRestaurant, an Enable Travel initiative, is supported by Ms. Pallavi Darade, the Commissioner of The Food and Drug Administration of Maharashtra. Shama Noorani Choudhary and I met Ms. Darade yesterday, expressing the requirement for accessible restaurants PAN India. We spoke about the possibilities of this campaign and she was very clear that it is time that restaurants were made accessible for the disabled in India. She also mentioned that she is going to ensure that all her offices in Maharashtra are made accessible. Her personal plea to all restauranteurs: Please support the campaign and make your restaurants accessible! It’s the need of the hour!
