A Community Workshop will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 2-4pm at the Hamilton Community Center, 503 S Palm Drive to receive community input on possibilities for redeveloping and revitalizing the City-owned Hamilton Properties. ___________________ It's important that you continue to provide feedback to the City on these properties. The deed restrictions removed from the Hamilton Town Center removed the restriction that it be used for parks and open space. Please attend the meeting and let provide WRITTEN FEEDBACK to preserve this area from infill housing. Please support the rehabilitation of the theater for community use. The entire parcel needs to be removed from the request for developers process while the city works with the community to find ways to preserve it. City staff continues to press to make money from the sale of this historic 1930's parcel with wording on the General Plan which will be discussed at the Tuesday, April 18th Council meeting. Pat Eklund has provided some broader wording that allows for more options for community input. Please support her wording. (See agenda) The information gathered at this meeting is presented to the City Council and used in DECISION MAKING. If you cannot attend the workshop, PLEASE take the survey at Novato.org/opennovato.org (it will be posted on April 21st). I cannot stress the importance of responding to these city surveys. And please send an email to your Novato City Council to keep the pressure on. novatocouncil@novato.org. Thank you, Tracey Ruiz toruiz@yahoo.com
