Sorry for the late notice, but this meeting happens Wednesday night and may have some interest for people looking for ways to fund improvements to the Hamilton Town Center. ___________ Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 7:30pm, City Manager Regan Candelario will discuss the Hamilton Trust, and the ways it has been used, as well as planned and theoretical future uses. He will do his best to answer questions attendees may have about the Trust and its intended purposes. The event will be moderated, as usual, by a professional mediator, Nancy Foster, JD. The Hamilton Trust was set up in 2004 as a permanent trust fund to offset impacts from the construction of the new neighborhoods in Hamilton. It was intended to generate interest earnings that would allow a long-term City revenue stream to help compensate for the additional police, recreation, public works impacts that would occur. Since the City Council decided to fund construction of a downtown SMART station from a loan from the Hamilton Trust, questions have arisen about the Trust, and the use of its funds. There are also questions from the community about how the Hamilton Trust funds relate to Town Center possibilities. This Hamilton Forum meeting will be held in the War Room, upstairs, at 500 Palm Drive. Everyone is welcome. Please attend and ask your questions. reposted from the Hamilton Forum Yahoogroup by: Tracey Ruiz, toruiz@yahoo.com
