The current Semester 4 pinning attire is a white scrub top, green scrub bottoms, white shoes, and a white lab coat with the NOVA nursing patch. Students in previous cohorts have expressed interest in changing the
ceremony attire. Instead of presenting only a request to remove the current requirement, SNA would like to
present a clear, professional alternative supported by student input.
This petition asks students to support SNA in bringing two professional attire alternatives to Nursing
Administration for consideration. The goal is to maintain a cohesive NOVA Nursing appearance while giving
graduates attire that feels appropriate for a major professional milestone.
