PC Mortimer has recently lost his job as a credible police officer. Read the full article here

The officer did not intentionally endanger anybody. The article states 'He was found to have breached the standards expected of him in relation to duties and responsibilities, discreditable conduct and honesty and integrity'. PC Mortimer was nothing but honest at his hearing so this is false!

The family of the deceased also had a responsibility over this vulnerable adult as did his GP and specialist consultant. Yet none of these people are taking any blame for what has happened. The gentleman's car should have been removed from his reach or sold to prevent this tragedy occurring.

It is also common opinion that HAD PC Mortimer recognised the gentlemen's licence had been revoked, would this have even stopped this tragic event occurring? Probably not. The poor man had dementia, I'm sure simply telling him not to drive would not have prevented him from driving his car unless family stepped and removed the car.

PC Mortimer is by far the least the blame here!
