Petition for Online Teaching in Nottingham Trent University under COVID-19 Threat
The Issue
To whom may concern,
We are a group of students who wish to contribute our efforts to stop COVID-19 from the total outbreak in the UK.
Recently, a lot of students are anxious and intimidated to take public transportation to school and work due to the rise of confirmed cases of coronavirus. There are 163 confirmed cases already within UK and we are in great concern of the worsening situation of the epidemic.
There is a first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Nottingham today (6/3/2020), which causes us to be more worried about the actions that we should take to protect ourselves as students in NTU. The high density of population in class will put all of us in huge health risks as the confirmed cases in Uk continue escalates. We strongly urge NTU should immediately start planning for online teaching and take actions to protect students' health and safety till the situation is fully under control.
Thank you all.
