As the Northwood and Tinkersley Parish Council, we have always been committed to putting the welfare and interests of our local residents first. We believe in preserving and enriching the area for the betterment of all who reside within it. One of the treasures within our community is the Northwood Recreation Ground, a space that has, for years, been a place of leisure, enjoyment, and community bonding.

The Northwood Recreation Ground is not just a piece of land; it is an integral part of our community fabric. Moreover, it is a green oasis that offers respite and tranquility amidst our bustling lives. A wildflower meadow continues to be developed and their are ideas for improving the play equipment.

By registering the Northwood Recreation Ground as an Asset of Community Value (ACV), we can ensure its preservation for generations to come. An ACV status would mean that if ever threatened with sale or change in use, the community would have the first opportunity to secure its future. This empowers us to protect an area that is invaluable not just for its greenery but for the memories, connections, and joy it fosters.

We have witnessed other communities lose cherished public spaces, often without having the means or time to respond effectively.
