Stop the changes to visitor parking permits

The Issue

Norwich City Council have changed their visitor permits for residential parking. From next week when your permit is renewed it will only be valid for 4 hours at a time and if you need a permit for a whole day you will have to buy it individually for the specific date. These full day permits are also limited. This will adversely affect people who work long hours and so have people looking after their children at home all day. It will also make it more difficult for the elderly who have relatives or carers coming to stay regularly to help them. Whenever anyone living in the City has friends or relatives to stay they will have to kelp moving their car every 4 hours or face a £20 fine. These changes were not advertised widely enough and will adversely affect large numbers of residents. We ask the council to stop these changes and consider other ways of solving perceived problems with the current visitor parking scheme.
