For the last two years life has changed for everyone and somethings were out of our control due to Covid. This year we have to take control for our student athletes.  Norwalk is consistently the only town to enforce these mandates to the fullest. Upon entering this winter season when the schedule came out we were the only town mandating 2 attendees per athlete. While surrounding towns had open capacity. Now the attendance has been changed in every town to 50% capacity or 300 people limit while Norwalk is still sticking with 2 per player. Our athletes have endured having FCIACS football Championship cancelation meanwhile States still kept on, not playing in front of any crowds due to unforeseen circumstances,  in some sports not having a season at all.

  It is important for these athletes to play in front of family and peers. Especially, for senior athletes that may never play a sport again.  Families and friends are subjected to traveling to other town to see their favorite athletes play.

I am a Norwalk parent with a senior playing who may play several states away next year and might not have the opportunity to play in front of family or friends

We urge you to sign the petition and let our voices be heard for our student athletes who work hard in class as well as their perspective sports. As well as make phone calls or send emails to our Board of Education.
