Local politics are on full display right now:

School board elections and the mayoral election are coming up.

Two things to share:

I invited everyone who is running for school board of D65 to read, sign and possibly chat about the petition. It's been less than 24 hours, but no responses at all.

I also learned of this City-School Council: https://www.cityofevanston.org/government/boards-commissions-and-committees/city-school-liaison-committee

The minutes aren't online and there seems to be absenteeism at meeting. It's not clear that anything clearly related to student safety and growth is discussed. Maybe having minutes pulic would help see where the connection is.  Also, strangely, neither the mayor nor Northwestern is there... (or the Y, part district, CBOs, afterschool groups)... 

Are we just coasting here?
