A wonderful, dedicated volunteer for our local middle school shared this information. It’s important! My kid is on the basketball team and deserves to look small, clean and cohesive with her teammates. I am contributing of course and we will share this with other local residents.

We are raising money for new Nichols basketball uniforms. We are getting 78 sets of new uniforms and need a total of $3.600.  Each uniform set is $28 for the jersey and $18 for the shorts.  Can you share this link with other teammates, family and friends?  Any amount helps   working with local vendor Fresh Prints and Hoping to get them in 2-3 weeks.  

When I was wondering what kind of strings would have to be pulled for Northwestern to sponsor, chip in and help out with basketball uniforms, I learned this interested calculator about a university endowment: 

The average annual return for university endowments in fiscal year 2023 was 7.7%, according to the National Association of College and University Business Officers and Commonfund. 1  

Therefore, if a university has a $14 billion endowment, it could expect to earn approximately $14,000,000,000 * 0.077 = $1,078,000,000 in interest or investments in a year.

Also, Northwestern’s athletics budget is upwards of $100million which when you think about it makes sense based on how it has its national profile and has established the cred to not only build a temporary stadium along the lakefront, built an 850$ millions stadium AND play at Wrigley Field all in one year.
