This petition is being facilitated by Northway Parish Council on behalf of local residents.

We, the undersigned, ask National Highways to prioritise raising the height of railings on motorway bridges such as Northway Lane M5 Overbridge.

Northway Lane M5 Overbridge is widely accessible, used daily by many children and the wider community, and should provide a safe environment for everyone, particularly those who may be vulnerable or in distress. The current railing height does not align with National Highways’ own safety standards for new or refurbished bridges.

We urge National Highways to act proactively to improve safety and safeguard public wellbeing at this site.
