Save Bebside Horse Rescue

Save Bebside Horse Rescue
The Issue
Please help stop the forced destruction of the Bebside Horse Rescue by asking the council to reconsider the proposed location of the Bebside station or to give the charity enough funds to re-home themselves locally.
The charity offers a pony club for local children. Also, it hosts gymkhanas, social activities and other pursuits for the local community. The club provides support for sick children who attend and also helps a diverse range of children with special needs and those on the autistic spectrum.
The council are forcing the sale of the charity's premises for a fraction of what it would cost to re-home themselves locally.
If the forced sale by Northumberland County Council goes ahead, the charity will be forced to close. The horses, many of which have been abandoned by owners or rescued from abuse or neglect, will be left without a home and may have to be put down if no home is found for them.
We ask the council to please reconsider and either change the plans for the station, provide the charity with an equivalent location locally or enough funds to allow them to move to a like for like property so they can carry on running the charity and provide activities for the local community.
