Again many thanks but "the more the merrier."  We have 659 people who have signed so far -- please share the petition widely.

Several Northfield City Council members have shared that a ceasefire resolution is not within the jurisdiction of the Council. They have urged that we make our voices heard at the federal level.  

Yesterday Rice County voted over 22% "uncommitted".  Attorney Keith Ellison said of the uncommitted vote:

"Today is Super Tuesday and Democrats will be voting in primaries across the country. People voting “uncommitted” are registering their outrage, hurt, and compassion for Palestinians suffering and dying in Gaza.

Uncommitted are asking for the Party that they are a part of to listen to them using the most sacred tool in any democracy, their vote.  We must hear them and call for a permanent ceasefire and an immediate surge of humanitarian aid into Gaza."

Please let City Council members know that their voice matters -- and that it is within their jurisdiction to pass a ceasefire resolution.  Please let them know our collective voice is stronger than each of our individual voices.
