NKU School of the Arts students plead for our spacious, beautiful studio. 116 is far too small for our large classes, 220 has a leaking ceiling that forces us to keep buckets all across the floor- making dancing incredibly difficult. Meanwhile, the studios in the Rec are not constructed for dancing and have consistently led to many injuries, putting our safety as students at risk. The HE studio was an amazing addition to our SOTA family, not simply just the dancers. All SOTA majors who have taken a dance class, participated in a rehearsal or utilized it to film audition videos or self tapes know of its countless benefits. By refusing to further construction on the HE studio, you are illustrating that our education and health aren’t valued in the eyes of the administration. We urge you take this petition into consideration and take action on behalf of your students.
