Keep Professor Jill Shelley at NKU

Keep Professor Jill Shelley at NKU

The Issue

Professor Jill Shelley is a compassionate, loving, fun, and amazing teacher. She teaches in the Criminal Justice department of Northern Kentucky University. You may have had her in class or you may have heard great things about her (she does not have a bad bone in her body), however you heard about her you know she cares and wants success for her students. She was full-time police officer for Cincinnati for 10 years and she started her part-time policing for 14 years so she could teach at NKU. She has been at NKU since 1996, 24 years ago, she teaches classes Police in America, Criminal Investigation, Advanced Crime Scene Techniques, Criminal Profiling and Criminal Evidence. She had put her life on the line for the city of Cincinnati serving and protecting, and she taught the next generation of police officers, lawyers, forensic scientist, and detectives, and now she has been let go one year before her retirement. She loves teaching and she is absolutely devastated by this news. I, along with other students, would like her to know we are supporting her and want her to remain as a professor at Northern Kentucky University, as she means so much to the students, faculty and staff of the criminal justice department.
