The Highlands Belles have been a group for the past ten years. Throughout those ten years, we have had an amazing director, Marcus Thompson, for three of those years. We have won many titles, all thanks to our director. Recently we were notified that Mr. Thompson is being replaced. He doesn't work at our school, and our school is hiring another teacher that wants to direct our A Capella group. Since Mr. Thompson doesn't work at the school, the new teacher has priority. Because of this, Mr. Thompson no longer directs the Belles. This came as a shock to all of us. He isn't just a director to us. Mr. Thompson is a mentor, and he teaches us way more than just how to sing correct notes. All of us Belles are a family. Our family is diverse, talented, and loving.  A school board can not break us apart because family sticks together. If we can show people that the Highlands Belles are not just an after school activity, then we can bring Mr. Thompson back. Please help us spread the word by signing this petition.
