It is with immense relief and gratitude that we write to you today.
 
We met with the Northern Beaches council at our Swim school on Thursday and they have confirmed that we can remain open!

The CEO Ray Brownlee and Director of Planning and Place Louise Kerr, agreed that we can work together to propose a solution that addresses challenges such as parking and noise.
 
We are still very emotional about what has happened in the last - very intense - 10 days;

We featured on 2GB, ABC Radio Breakfast and A Current Affair on Wednesday 23rd  - if you missed it here is the link including support from Lawrie Lawrence.

We have had articles written in the Daily Telegraph, Pittwater Online, Northern Beaches Advocate, News.com. It even reached WA and the UK!

We received phone calls and emails from swim schools all over the country offering their support.The online petition secured over 2900 signatures and the paper petition collected over 1500 signatures in 5 days - in the pouring rain - capturing community sentiment - including from the neighbours all around us!
We were talked up in state parliament by our local member Rob Stokes.
And the community penned tons of letters to our councillors and politicians who in turn provided their support.

All of this - and such a great outcome - could not have been achieved without your support – THANK YOU!
 
So for now - we are business as usual as we develop our plan to submit to the council. We are open to ideas, so if you have any thoughts, please drop us an email. Ideas may include parking arrangements, car pooling, timetable management, etc.

We hope you are all assured that we are here for you and your kids and are more dedicated than ever to ensure that your kids are safe around the water and become super swimmers of the future.
