Last night, the Board of Directors of NEICAC voted to approve funding of the Decorah Family Care Clinic for another year. Many thanks to everyone who signed the petition, to those of you who came to the board meeting in West Union, and to Lori Egan (Health Programs Director at NEICAC) for all her information and for her tireless efforts for the clinic. While it has been approved for another year, we understand that this small victory does not alleviate the financial problems plaguing all clinics of this type across the country. There will be a need for a truly heroic fundraising effort to help the clinic and hopefully make it so that we do not have to face the fear of closure every year.
