On Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2021, there was a tragic car accident on Hwy515/76 at Hwy 325, that involved three of our local teens.  Two were seniors in HS and one a freshman in college. It has changed their lives.  Two are still hospitalized with severe injuries; one in critical condition.  Their families are displaced from their homes and work to care for their children. They have a very long road to recovery, along with growing a medical debt. The three teens were headed to see our children and help do some work in our home, but never made it!   

In light of this tragic accident and many others that have happened at this intersection,  we strongly urge you to support this petition to have a traffic signal installed at the Hwy 515/76 and Hwy 325 intersection immediately!  This signal will prevent future accidents and deaths.  Many of our residents travel this highway daily across the mountains, feeling at risk. 

As Realtors, we use this intersection every day.  Our community feels very strongly about the placement of a traffic signal at this dangerous intersection to protect the families, community, and tourists that we serve and travel this highway. 

We are residents of the Northeast GA Mountains.  We know that this signal is critical and we urge the GDOT to take action NOW!
