Brixworth Village has become a target area for vehicle crime in recent weeks/months, with numerous recurrences in the same areas of the village but not just in those areas.  Although vehicle crime appears to be particularly prevalent, there has also been cases of property break-ins too.

This is not the first time Brixworth residents have seen this type of crime, the village seems to be a targeted area, particularly during the darker months of the year.

Residents are understandably increasingly concerned and anxious with the increased levels of crime within the village, whilst having very little confidence in the levels of policing and patrols in the area and the speed of response when reporting crimes or suspicious activity. This lack of confidence in law enforcement has resulted in Brixworth residents taking the matter in hand by setting up their own vigilante patrols.

The residents of Brixworth would like a formal response and action plan from our Police and Crime Commissioner, Steven Mold which sets out what is being done by the authorities to address the crime in Brixworth. We would also welcome a public meeting to discuss our concerns. We would also like support and intervention from our MP Chris Heaton-Harris.
