Save Ashby Tourist & Information Centre from Closure

The Issue

North West Leicestershire District Council have made it clear that they wish to close the TIC (Tourist Information Centre). This valuable resource located in the Library building is used by many Ashby organisations to promote and sell tickets for their events.  It a resource for information by residents and tourists alike.

The TIC is one of the very few left in the country and we are very proud of it. It's a good resource for our town, and even more fitting as we are the town at the Heart of the National Forest.

The Centre has not reopened since closure for Covid reasons and the District Council have not given a reason for it remaining closed. Ashby Civic Society wish to submit a petition to the council to keep this service in operation and to use our rates in Ashby for our benefit.
