Too many times this issue has been mentioned in council meetings. Too many complaints ignored. North Sydney council has 3 pages dedicated to this action, it’s rated medium and hasn’t been updated for 2 years. 

Unfortunately it seems either a petition like this or sadly, someone’s life is what it will take for the council to do something about this extremely dangerous intersection. 

- This is a blind corner 
- This is along the back roads on the city “rat run” that travel into and out of the city meaning ever increasing traffic avoiding Military road, travelling fast, not obeying local speed limits 
- There are elderly people who literally sit on their walkers for sometimes hours waiting for someone to help them cross, too scared to cross alone and unable to take an alternative route. 
- This crossing is used by children travelling to and from multiple primary and senior schools
- Driver’s are trying to avoid incoming traffic off Military Road and watch for pedestrians when travelling through, too much information for drivers to process and act appropriately. 
- Issues with people illegally turning into Prince St causes accidents here
- This crossing services access to Cremorne shops and the main road bus line

locals are tired of seeing this listed as a medium issue with local council and nothing being done. Too many people have had near misses whilst attempting to cross safely, cars literally driving through whilst one side or lane is stopped. Whilst pedestrians are on the crossing. Drivers refuse to stop and most of the time simply because there’s not enough warning the crossing is there, leading to them yelling obscenities.
This intersection is terrifying for drivers and pedestrians alike and it’s time for something to be done about it.
