Outcome of meeting with representatives from North Sydney Council this morning

Thank you for your interest in this issue, and your support. A site meeting was held with the Project Architect and representatives from North Sydney Council and Lavender Bay Precinct this morning at 8am. A hard copy of this petition has been handed to Robert Emerson and Alicja Batorowicz this morning; and email copies sent through to them, as well as North Sydney Council, Mayor Jilly Gibson, and Minister Gabrielle Upton this evening. At the meeting this morning, it was agreed that North Sydney Council would temporarily delay the project, in order to conduct proper consultation with the community and affected residents. I will be updating this page with more information in the coming days; please read any updates received, as they will contain details of where and when the community consultation will be taking place. This is your opportunity to have your say regarding a project that is important to both the local community and its visitors. Thank you for standing up for the stairs (my mother also sends thanks - she was worried I would be chaining myself to them come Monday morning!)
