IMPORTANT: Community meetings this week

I am currently waiting on confirmation from North Sydney Council representatives regarding a potential meeting on Tuesday, 23rd January at 7am on the Watt Park stairs (between Waiwera Street and Lavender Crescent). This meeting is open to anyone who has signed this petition. I will confirm on Monday via an update on this website if the meeting is going ahead. I understand it's early and people have to work; however it's vital to show Council that we are standing against this project (with plans to eradicate and replace the current staircase); and ensure those who love the area have a chance to be heard. Additionally, if you live, work, study or own property in the Lavender Bay Precinct (the pink shaded area on the attached map), you are encouraged to attend the Lavender Bay Precinct meeting this Thursday, 25th January at 8pm at McMahons Point Community Centre, 165 Blues Point Road. This matter is on the agenda for discussion, along with other important community items. We only have 4 working days remaining until the Council pushes ahead with this project; if you wish to see the stairs and landscape remain unmarred by unnecessary development, please attend if you can...and watch this space for more updates!
